Welcome to Otter Tots Swim School!

Otter Tots is an independent family run swim school.

We personally know each and every one of our clients.

This enables us to cater for the needs of every student to help and support them whilst they progress and reach their potential. As a swim school we take pride in supporting our parents and students and we believe that this and our specialised programmes are the key to our success along with our friendly and fun classes.

The pools available with us are located in Sheffield at Ecclesall and Chesterfield at Ashgate.

Your child can enrol with us from 10 weeks old and continue with their swimming through to their early teens and never have to change swim school.

The aquatic learning route is as follows:

We follow the STA international awards system to provide a complete progressive aquatic pathway for learners of all ages.

All our teachers are fully qualified, DBS checked and, most importantly, passionate and dedicated to teaching your child to swim.

What parents say

I also just wanted to say how pleased and impressed we’ve been with the experience they’ve had at Otter Tots so far. The teachers have been so kind, patient and dedicated and both children have come on hugely.  Thank you very much.

My boys Jacob and Zachary both attend Mary's classes on a Sunday morning. I would just like to pass on what a wonderful teacher Mary is. Particularly today, Mary was fantastic with Jacob. She put her arm around him just when he needed it. It gave him confidence to be in the pool without me. We we...

I just wanted to say thank you so much to you and Eleanor for today's swimming session. Both Oliver and I were really pleased that there was someone at the deep end watching the children swim up whilst the other was setting the children off swimming. It was really reassuring to know that someone ...

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team. I can't believe how water confident Kasper and Daisy are now. Everyone is so attentive and patient, especially towards Kasper who is an extremely anxious child.

Thank you so much for looking after them so well and for really teaching them! My experience of swimming lessons before finding Otter Tots was of large groups going through the exercises, but never being actually taught. You are so good at analysing their stokes and identifying what they each need t...

Giving your child the chance to learn to swim is a life saving skill that they will have forever. Otter Tots enables parents and children to feel safe and confident in the water and at the same time have lots of fun. Emelia and I love swimming and always wants to go, I'm convinced its the approach o...

Thank you so much for everything over the last few years with all the kids - they are all fantastic swimmers and that's down to Otter Tots.

My son and daughter have grown in confidence over the last term and I have been really pleased with the efforts of you both to encourage progress. Both of you engage really well with the children and they enjoy their lessons with you. We are looking forward to seeing them go even further this term a...

We've brought all 3 of our children to Otter Tots from 3 months old and they have all thoroughly enjoyed the lessons. Alistair has an excellent rapport with the children and always does his best to engage them even on days when they are a little grumpy!

We started swimming with Otter Tots as our son Billy has mild Cerebral Palsy. Otter Tots is great physiotherapy for Billy, however he is treated no differently from the rest of the able bodied children in his class. Victoria takes on board what Billy is capable of and finds ways to adapt the movemen...
