What parents say

Here’s a small selection of what parents have to say about Otter Tots…

We've brought all 3 of our children to Otter Tots from 3 months old and they have all thoroughly enjoyed the lessons. Alistair has an excellent rapport with the children and always does his best to engage them even on days when they are a little grumpy!

Thank you so much for looking after them so well and for really teaching them! My experience of swimming lessons before finding Otter Tots was of large groups going through the exercises, but never being actually taught. You are so good at analysing their stokes and identifying what they each need to work on. Both Emily and Owen have made great progress, and are now happy and confident swimmers. Consequently I have no hesitation at recommending your lessons to as many parents as will listen to me!

We started swimming with Otter Tots as our son Billy has mild Cerebral Palsy. Otter Tots is great physiotherapy for Billy, however he is treated no differently from the rest of the able bodied children in his class. Victoria takes on board what Billy is capable of and finds ways to adapt the movements he can't manage. always encouraging us, and allowing Billy to get the most out of each lesson. Billy looks forward to going swimming each and every week, and is just at home under the water as on the surface!

Just to say thank you for making Max and Jack so welcome and happy to come to their swimming lessons. They have had a great introduction to swimming lessons and have progressed massively already.

I also just wanted to say how pleased and impressed we’ve been with the experience they’ve had at Otter Tots so far. The teachers have been so kind, patient and dedicated and both children have come on hugely.  Thank you very much.

Delia & Iwan Evans

My son and daughter have grown in confidence over the last term and I have been really pleased with the efforts of you both to encourage progress. Both of you engage really well with the children and they enjoy their lessons with you. We are looking forward to seeing them go even further this term and will recommend Otter tots to our friends! Thank you very much.

Giving your child the chance to learn to swim is a life saving skill that they will have forever. Otter Tots enables parents and children to feel safe and confident in the water and at the same time have lots of fun. Emelia and I love swimming and always wants to go, I'm convinced its the approach of Victoria and her team that has nurtured this. Otter Tots has been the best money I've ever spent and in my opinion is a must for every parent. I can't speak more highly of Otter Tots.

I thought you and Alistair might be interested to see and hear of Sophie's progress of late. If you remember, almost a year ago Sophie was crying through her lessons at Ottertots and I almost stopped for a while. Alistair suggested to gently persist with the lessons. That combined with daily swims on holiday & she was swimming independently by 2 1\2. Now, at only 3 1/4 she is creating quite a stir at her new swim school here in Australia. Although levels are normally age based until 4, they couldn't ignore how good Sophie was & have promoted her 2 levels up to be with much older children. Sophie can swim 20m backstroke with and without the kickboard. She can torpedo independently and dive for objects at the bottom of the pool.

Thank you so much for everything over the last few years with all the kids - they are all fantastic swimmers and that's down to Otter Tots.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team. I can't believe how water confident Kasper and Daisy are now. Everyone is so attentive and patient, especially towards Kasper who is an extremely anxious child.

Sarah Lambert

I just wanted to say thank you so much to you and Eleanor for today's swimming session.
Both Oliver and I were really pleased that there was someone at the deep end watching the children swim up whilst the other was setting the children off swimming. It was really reassuring to know that someone was able to be watching so closely.
Oliver said he really enjoyed his lesson today and didn't mind swimming in the deep end, knowing that someone was close by to help if need be.
The girls were really attentive and encouraging (as always) and were great at telling the children to stop when they were close to the side to avoid head bumps! Oliver is now geared up for the deep end swimming as he's retained his confidence ?
Please can you pass on my thanks to the girls for me. I really appreciate it.

My boys Jacob and Zachary both attend Mary's classes on a Sunday morning.
I would just like to pass on what a wonderful teacher Mary is. Particularly today, Mary was fantastic with Jacob. She put her arm around him just when he needed it. It gave him confidence to be in the pool without me. We were really proud of him and this was all thanks to Mary's actions.
She is a fantastic teacher and a credit to Otter Tots.
